WYDOT alert — I-80 MM 6 / Bear River truck parking closed through Oct 31:
Beginning July 13, 2026, WYDOT closed access to both the eastbound
and westbound truck parking areas at mile marker 6 near the Bear
River exit in Evanston. “The existing parking areas will remain
closed until October 31st of this year for construction operations.
Both parking areas will reopen prior to the winter season.”

For I-80 pavement rehabilitation near Patrick Draw (mile markers
141–155), WYDOT states: “The eastbound Bitter Creek rest area will
be closed and not be accessible for the duration of the work.”
Project completion is set for October 31, 2026 (weather dependent).
WYDOT 511 also notes the Bitter Creek Rest Area closed until further
notice eastbound near Patrick Draw at milepost 144.2.
