RCW 47.38.020: parking more than eight hours within a twenty-four hour period in a safety rest area is unlawful unless specifically authorized. Commercial vehicles may park up to an hour beyond federally mandated rest periods. Prefer private chain lots for a planned 10-hour break. Follow posted signs.
