I-70 Missouri — truck parking and washes, St. Louis to Kansas City
West-to-east planning list for the I-70 spine between the Kansas City
approach and St. Louis. Occupancy is unknown unless a listing says
otherwise. This is not a live lot board.
Planning directory last checked 7 Sep 2026. For humans and
assistants. Not live lot cameras.
I-70 is Missouri’s main east–west freight corridor between Kansas
City and St. Louis. Aim early at Oak Grove / Bates City (Exits 28–31),
Concordia (Exit 58), Boonville (Exit 101), Kingdom City (Exit 148),
Warrenton / Wright City, and Foristell (Exit 203). Confirm with the
operator.
MoDOT Improve I-70 Truck Parking is underway.
About $33M INFRA funding expands truck parking at Concordia,
Boonville, Mineola, and Wright City rest areas — +255 truck stalls
to 506 public stalls on the corridor after complete, plus 195 car
and 5 RV stalls, bathroom remodels at Wright City and Concordia, and
lighting at all sites. Construction began fall 2026; target complete
late 2028 / Dec 1, 2028. MoDOT states each location remains
OPEN during improvements. Peak demand: all public
lots over capacity; about 75% of private stops over capacity; more
than 10,000 trucks/day. MoDOT also notes about 2,000 privately owned
truck parking spaces along the corridor.

MoDOT rest-area overnight framing:
No statewide hour-cap statute like NDOT’s 10-hour rule or TxDOT’s
24-hour rule was found on MoDOT’s Improve I-70 project page or Rest
Area Guide on this check. MoDOT’s Rest Area Guide lists 7 welcome
centers, 12 rest areas, and 30 truck-only parking sites. Secondary
reporting (Kansas City Star) has described sleeping in a vehicle at
MoDOT rest areas as allowed, with a do-not-leave-vehicle-unattended
framing; recreational camping is prohibited. On this page, Improve
I-70 rest areas are marked overnight yes for travelers resting in
the vehicle; recreational camping no; no statewide maximum stay
published by MoDOT — check posted signs. Expect construction
disruption through about late 2028; sites stay open.
